Announcements ![]() Hotmath Rocks!Best website for homework help - it's GREAT! Click on this link to go to Hotmath.com, then click on "LOG IN" at the top right of the page and enter the password CLE344. Click on the "Algebra 1" button, then choose our textbook (scroll to bottom - find Prentiss-Hall California Algebra 1, 2009 Edition). ![]() Why Do Well this Year? What's in the Balance? For one thing, how well you do this year determines what math class you will be in next year. Read on!
If you earn an A or B this year and have good test scores from 7th grade, you will take Geometry in 9th grade - and be on track for a 4 year college or university later. For those who must re-take Algebra next year, wouldn't it be smart to learn as much as you can NOW so that you can get an A or B on your official high school grade transcript for algebra in 9th grade? With some extra effort, you could then be on track for college or university, too! The bottom line is: don't wait until later to "do well" in algebra, for later may never come. The right time to do well is right now :-) ![]() Required MaterialsPlease bring the following each day:
1. Pencil and eraser. 2. 3-ring binder with a math divider. 3. Lined paper - college-ruled. 4. Spiral graph paper notebook for all notes, classwork, and homework - available now from Mr. Roberts for $1.00. 5. A short ruler or straight-edge. 6. Agenda. A calculator for checking your work at home is recommended but not required. Work must always be shown on homework so don't use a calculator instead of doing (and showing) the work :-) ![]() When are Grades Sent Home?Aug. 26 Teacher Generated Reports

The astronomical images offered by this site are just too cool! Also, you can learn a lot about astronomy here, too. It's one of Mr. Roberts' favorite sites. Mendoza, Wells, and Machado use this, but my grades are available from the link near the top right of this page. There is so much here of value including videos to help when you are stuck on HW. Enter the "web codes" found at various places in the text to access content. Fun, fun, fun! This site uses computerized versions of manipulatives to help you learn math. You get to move stuff around, you know, "DO" things while you learn the math you need to know. Try it, you'll like it! |
